In 2017, Parwaz partnered with the Department of Community Health Sciences, Aga Khan University, as a
\ncommunity-partner to facilitate PhD research on Human papillomavirus (HPV) in men at risk, transgender women and people living with HIV in Pakistan funded by the Department of Global Public
\nHealth, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and the Aga Khan University, Pakistan. Parwaz ensured the ethical
\nconsiderations, research fairness, and integrity components of the study. Also trained the study lead and
\nresearch team including healthcare providers on the use of appropriate pronouns and sensitization on
\nlanguage and behaviors which could have been construed as stigmatizing and discriminatory by the study
